Google Business Profile

As you start a business in 2025/2026, particularly a local and in person business, one of the critical components is your Google Business Profile. How do I teach more families if they cannot find me? And how do people find me these days? Google! Your Google Business Profile describes to the world who you are, how you can help, and how clients get to you.

Google ‘help[s] customers find your business by industry’ requiring you to select one of the predetermined business categories. But what happens when Google business does not have a category for your specific business?

New Parent Network was founded to provide NICU level support and education to every single new family. It is important to us to provide childbirth education, baby care education, postpartum text, phone, video and in person support, as well as truly personalized connections. We want you to trust us so you ask US, not the internet in the middle of the night. (and I fully understand the contradiction of having Google bring you to us, and then us telling you not to google your questions!)

So are we a childbirth class? Yes. Are we postpartum support? Yes. Are we parenting education? Yes. Are we a baby care class? Yes. Are we education for grandparents on what has changed? Yes. Are we CPR education? Yes. Are we lactation support? Yes! Are we night nursing coverage? Yes! But all those things together make us so much more. We are your best friend in parenthood! We want to fill many need categories, because parenting is many categories! We want to be your support system with evidence based knowledge and real world parenting experience!
